Art Saint Louis is pleased to present Humanity, our final virtual art exhibition of 2021. This multi-media juried show is presented entirely and exclusively online here on the ASL website, in a virtual gallery, and on our social media platforms.

This new exhibition features 46 original visual artworks that explore the the range of human experience, including (but not limited to): the life force, cycles of life such as birth, childhood, youth, schooling, life partnership, careers, old age, death, identity, and more.

The range of themes and sub-themes included in this show display some of the most important aspects of being a human and one's experiences throughout life. Enjoying simple moments with friends, remembering the joy of childhood, and contemplating imminent death or recalling past loss is all emphasized in bold and emotionally striking artistic techniques.

For this juried exhibit, 33 STL regional artists submitted 77 original artworks for Juror Robin Hirsch-Steinhoff's consideration. From those entries, she selected 46 original artworks for this unique virtual gallery art exhibition. Assistance with this exhibition was provided by Fall 2021 Intern Allison Carnell of McKendree University.

The artworks presented in this exhibit explore a wide range of experiences that relate to the theme of Humanity and are represented in media including collage, drawing (colored pencil, graphite, pastel), mixed media, painting (acrylic, oil, watercolor), and photography (analog and digital).

Humanity is presented October 1-December 1, 2021 exclusively online here on our website and in a unique virtual gallery exhibition hosted by Exhibbit.com. Featured works from the show are also highlighted in a special Facebook album here, and on Twitter and Instagram. Awards for this exhibit are noted below.
