Light virtual exhibition January 1-March 1, 2022

Art Saint Louis presents Light, our first virtual art gallery exhibition of 2022. This unique exhibit is presented exclusively on our website/online and features 59 original visual artworks by 51 St. Louis regional artists from Missouri and Illinois.

Art Saint Louis is pleased to present Light, our first virtual art exhibition of 2022. This multi-media juried show is presented entirely and exclusively online here on the ASL website, in a virtual gallery, and on our social media platforms.

This new exhibition features original visual artworks that explore explore the visual essence of light. The 59 works in this new show describe and depict the quality of light as it falls on or illuminates a subject.


For this juried exhibit, 151 artworks were submitted by 61 STL regional artists for jurying. From those entries, our Jurors selected 59 original artworks for this unique virtual gallery art exhibition.


The artworks presented in this exhibit explore a wide range of responses to the theme of Light and are represented in media including collage, drawing (colored pencil, graphite, pastel), mixed media, NFT, painting (acrylic, oil, watercolor), photography (analog and digital), printmaking, and more.

Serving as Jurors for this special exhibit were Robin Hirsch Steinhoff, Artistic Director of Art Saint Louis, and Allison Carnell, Fall 2021 Intern at Art Saint Louis. Carnell is currently a senior at McKendree University, Lebanon, IL.

Light is presented January 1-March 1, 2021 exclusively online here on our website and in a unique virtual gallery exhibition hosted by Exhibbit.com. Featured works from the show are also highlighted in a special Facebook album here, and on Twitter and Instagram. Awards for this exhibit are noted below.
