To connect and inspire the St. Louis community through visual art, to further enliven the urban capital of our region and enrich the lives of our city’s workers, residents and visitors, and to showcase the deep artistic talent pool of our region, Art Saint Louis has launched a dynamic new series of pop-up galleries in empty storefront spaces downtown. We envision Pop-Up STL as a ongoing, multi-year program to strengthen neighborhood businesses and catalyze urban renewal. If you are interested in participating in any way, as an artist, volunteer, property owner or sponsor, please let us know! Our goals for Pop-Up STL are to:
1) Create an aesthetically rich and engaging downtown experience through a critical mass of temporary galleries with artworks spanning a wide range of styles and expressions, to spark curiosity and elevate our community.
2) Catalyze urban renewal by growing the city’s audience, fostering civic pride, strengthening neighborhood businesses and attracting new tenants.
3) Celebrate the work of local artists and further develop their audience by creating a new outlet through which artists can impact our community and win the interest and investment of art collectors and patrons.
