Marilyn Robinson will be premiering her DVD, “Black Indians of New Orleans,” followed by a panel discussion held at the Saint Louis Art Museum* (February 7). The narrated video showcases her photography & informs the audience of the history of the little-known colorful, artistic New Orleans group through still photographs & video footage taken during the 2012 and 2013 “Super Sunday Celebrations & Parades” in New Orleans.

 Sun Smith-Fôret's mixed media textiles were included in an event at Pulitzer Art Foundation's PXSTL Event Space, St. Louis, MO (July 2014).


In July, Sun Smith-Fôret was invited to include her mixed media textiles as an architectural element and content-appropriate imagery/text as part of a collaborative community-building event held at Pulitzer Art Foundation's PXSTL Event Space, St. Louis, MO. The event included a potluck dinner organized by FoodSpark, an art, agriculture & nutrition think tank, Sun’s textiles and oral history taking specific to St. Louis.


Ken Wood has been working with Pele Prints this Summer collaborating on publishing a series of four large-scale 44”x40” relief prints, printed in two different color schemes. He writes that each print has three colors/three layers and will be editioned in groups of four. Ken has worked with Pele Prints since 2010. Ken is working to exhibit as well as sell this new body of work. Ken is Associate Professor of Art and Area Coordinator of Printmaking at St. Louis Community College Meramec.
