Under The Influence is a juried exhibition featuring works in all media by 53 St. Louis regional artists from Missouri and Illinois.

Please join Art Saint Louis for our first juried exhibition in our New Gallery, Under The Influence.

Serivg as Jurors for this exhibit were St. Louis nationally exhibited artists Kit Keith and Tim Liddy. Tim is Professor of Art at Fontbonne University.

Under The Influence is an all media exhibit where the artworks expose the artist's inspiration. Artworks reflect an influence of a specific period in art history, an artist from ancient to contemporary times, or even an art instructor or mentor. The artist's muse may be a color, religion, media & advertising, the landscape, a famous artist, a time in art history, a genre, etc...

 

A free opening reception for this exhibit will be held at Art Saint Louis on Saturday, August 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.. The exhibit will remain on view through Thursday, October 10, 2013.


For this exhibition, 110 artists throughout the St. Louis region (comprised of a 200-mile radius) submitted 207 artworks in all media for our Jurors' consideration. From those entries, Kit Kieth and Tim Liddy selected works by the following 53 artists for this exhibition:
