Video Spotlight: Hope virtual exhibit

HEC-TV
spotlights Hope, our multi-media virtual exhibit featuring 48 original visual artworks in all media created during 2020 and 2021 that focus on the new year and the yearning for hope that another year brings, including personal goals and resolutions, fresh perspectives, and new beginnings. 2021 is our opportunity to hit 'refresh' on life as we knew it in 2020. We asked artists to consider what it means to start over as well as how they interpret the idea of hope, most especially as it applies to this past year's experiences. Our Hope exhibit remains on view on our website through April 1, 2021. Thanks to HEC-TV Producer-Editors Paul Langdon and Christina Chastain for their work on this piece.

Art Saint Louis Gallery Reopening August 1, 2020

Graphic design by Emily Crull.Art Saint Louis is working hard to continue serving the community in the midst of the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we greatly appreciate the ongoing participation and support of our members, donors, board members and other volunteers, at this time in particular. After months of closure, missing the energy and encouragement our gallery guests add to the life of our organization, we are pleased to announce the reopening of our gallery for our Storytellers juried exhibition, beginning August 1, 2020, at which time the gallery hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition to limiting our hours in this way, we are implementing the following measures to protect the health of our visitors and staff:

• Surfaces at the reception desk, in the café and in the gallery will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

• Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the reception desk and in the gallery.

• Restroom facilities will remain closed.

Staff Requirements:

• Daily health reports will be required of all staff.

• Staff will wear masks at all times when in the gallery or café.

• Social distancing will be practiced by staff at all times.

Visitor Expectations:

• In keeping with City of St. Louis requirements and CDC recommendations, visitors will be required to wear face masks at all times while visiting Art Saint Louis. ASL branded cloth masks will be available for purchase, and complementary disposable masks will be made available upon request.

• No more than 10 visitors will be allowed in the gallery at a time, and all are asked to practice social distancing.

• Anyone who is sick, showing symptoms of sickness, or has been recently exposed to anyone who is sick or showing symptoms, is asked to stay home.
