Signs of Time

January 21 - February 28, 2008

Signs of Time was a juried exhibit open to artists 21+ residing in the St. Louis region & surrounding 200-mile radius. For this exhibition, artists were asked to submit artworks in all styles and media that explore real, cultural or symbolic depictions of the passage of time—past, present, future or any combinations in between.

Serving as juror for this exhibit was nationally exhibited artist Mr. Kim Mosley, former Professor of Art, Dean of Liberal Arts, St. Louis Community College Florissant Valley.

From 147 artworks in all media submitted by 86 artists for jurying, Mr. Mosley selected 55 artworks by 53 artists for the final exhibit. Works in a variety of media are presented, including ceramics, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and textiles.

In recognition of their outstanding work in this exhibit, Juror Kim Mosley selected five artists' works to receive Awards of Excellence and one to receive an Honorable Mention. The award-winning artists are: Elizabeth Simmons Allen, Ruth Kolker, Sarah Merideth, Rochelle Steffen, and Terri Willits. Receiving an Honorable Mention was Joyce Harvell.

Works by Naxin Fan, Gail B. Ford and Jeanne Vogel were purchased from this exhibition.
